HD Lite The HD Lite is built similar to the Sport model. The Sport is weighted back and easy to run in mud and weeds. The HD Lite is a balanced short tail. Meaning, it takes much less effort to raise the propeller out of the water using the operator handle. This balance drive is preferred by mud motor enthusiasts with lots of stick time. It is also known as the moto-cross model of the mud motor world. If you run in timber, rocky rivers and ice, the balanced drive HD Lite is for you.

Hunter
click to enlargeThe Hunter claims a class of its own. It has the legendary cast aluminum outdrive of our popular Sport and the new HD Lite, but the Hunter has an all new mount, motor base and swivel assembly. The Hunter is lighter than all other models, is mounted closer to the boat for less boat water draft, and it is balanced like the original Mud Buddy Hyper Drive. The Hunter has a manual trim, however it is nothing like other manual trims on the market today. Our manual trim is only used to fine tune high speed running. When in shallow water and you need four-wheel-drive, simple pull out the Quick Trim and the drive drops to its lowest position. When back in open water, pull out the Quick Trim and the drive returns automatically to its full speed position. No cranking required.
